So I went to San Japan for two days - Friday and Saturday - and I had a great time! It was my first San Japan and
Izaya-chan's first real San Japan as well, so we were excited and curious about it.
Friday I got up early to drive, but hit a lot of traffic so the trip took almost twice as long as it usually does X_X It sucked majorly so as soon as I got to
Izaya-chan's apartment, I changed into Rory (from Teahouse) right away. I semi-styled his wig too, but it kind of died during the day and so it ended up needing restyling >.<
Anyway, we got to the con around 12-1 PM and had to wait around a little bit, so we just wandered the con. Luckily
Izaya-chan had gotten our badges Thursday night, so she knew the layout of the con and led us to the artist alley and dealer's room. Since we were cosplaying from Teahouse, we wanted to see the Teahouse creators! They were the main motivation for us finally making our Teahouse cosplays, so we found them and talked to them for a good 45 minutes :3 It was really neat seeing how they interacted, and both of them were super sweet. They were excited about our cosplays and even gave each of us a keychain of our character! It was really awesome ;--; We also chatted a bit with a friend of mine from high school,
KnoxoisAfter that we went to the dealer's room and browsed a few things... oddly enough, it was a relatively small dealer's room and there wasn't much either of us wanted. I did jizz myself over a Sephiroth phone case and some Advent Children stickers, but they were all kind of pricy and I ended up not getting anything.
We went to lunch afterwerds because I was famished, and I got some pancakes at Ihop XDDDD After that, we changed cosplays and I helped
Izaya-chan change into her Lin Beifong cosplay from Legend of Korra. I put on Reno of the Turks from Final Fantasy VII, and thankfully it is an easy and comfy cosplay, so I could help
Izaya-chan easily :3 I earned myself the nickname "Mama Reno" because of this and I have to say, it's both hilarious and disturbing, but I ran with it XDDDDDDD

I had a great time cosplaying Reno because I have loved FFVII since forever and never cosplayed from it until now. I cannot wait for the other Final Fantasy cosplays I have planned! Hints are as follows: Fluffy things in the sky, LEG CRAMP, most intimidating theme song ever, wild roses, and Velvet Nightmare. Kudos if you can guess what they are! XD
Anyway, after a while of wandering the con,
Izaya-chan was dying because of her armor and I helped her take it off so we could take a break. My goggles were giving me a bad headache by that point so I was glad to rest too XD We lazed around for a while before I helped her dress again so that we could go to a photoshoot with
FallingFeathers :3 It was a good shoot and I cannot wait to see pics!
Finally, we changed into our Teahouse cosplays again so that we could go to the yaoifest panel that the Teahouse creators were hosting!!! 8D I was super excited, and we had to wait a while before we were even allowed to line up. We hung out with
Knoxois, who was wearing her Linneus cosplay, and finally they con patrol allowed us to line up. We also ran into Cai (DA user unknown), and with him, we planned a Teahouse gathering for the next day! The coolest thing was when a Rhys cosplayer appeared, and we found that we actually knew her from previous conventions, when we had cosplayed Tiger & Bunny! It was
FyreGothChylde, and all of us Teahouse cosplayers sat together during the panel. It was entertaining and fun, and
Knoxois won one of the raffle drawings, which was pretty neat xD
After that,
Izaya-chan and I were dead, so we changed and chilled a bit before finally passing out.
We woke up late and then went to eat breakfast, not even wearing cosplay yet XDDD We didn't get changed till around 1 PM, once again putting our Teahouse stuff on. I managed to re-style Rory's wig that morning and I was so much happier with it than before *w* After eating, we had a photoshoot to get to! It was a good shoot and I cannot wait to see the pictures *w* Finally, we went back to the Teahouse booth to buy stuff, and then went to the Teahouse gathering that had been planned the night before.
It ended up being one of the BEST aspects of the con!!! Everyone was amazing - Cai brought her Axis cosplay and I was so amazed at how well everyone suited their characters! We got a few group photos before splitting into smaller groups, and I think the shoot was just fabulous, and we got some really great shots. XDD At first we were all shy around each other, but we soon got used to each other and started to get really great ideas for photos
I cannot wait to see them!!!

Finally
Knoxois had to leave, and Cai was starving, so we went our separate ways for the rest of the con.
Izaya-chan and I changed again, and I was once again Mama Reno for her Lin Beifong XDDDDD We mostly just wandered the artist alley and hung out with
Momo-Kira and
ShadewithoutSun.
Izaya-chan got me a poster that says "What do you mean there's no such brand as god damn tea?!?", and while wandering, a few people told me about a Final Fantasy gathering later that night. So instead of putting on Axel and Roxas like we had originally planned,
Izaya-chan and I decided that tonight was meant to be a Turks night rather than a Kingdom Hearts night.
We ended up having to rest for a while again, and we met up with
MeWindyCharms who was wearing Elena from FFVII, and
AllFades. She had been lost, so I ran to get her and I was really glad I did because she had been about to leave ;---; But luckily we got a good few hours to hang out with her before she left *___* It's been a while since I saw her ;-;
Eventually we changed again and
AllFades came with us, and while
Izaya-chan changed into Cissnei, I read the Teahouse chapters she had bought XDDD THEY WERE GREAT AND LULZY! And finally we went downstairs for the Final Fantasy gathering :3
It was... kind of disappointing; we all stood around for a long time because the people that had organized it never showed up, and we ended up not having a photographer =< But the three of us cosplaying Turks (me,
Izaya-chan, and
MeWindyCharms) adopted
AkuseruSOLDIER who was cosplaying Yazoo. XD We went with the rest of the group to take a few group shots, but the gathering kind of fell apart after only a few minutes... it was disappointing, like I said, but we went to a photobooth to get a few professional photos, and after that, we the artist alley and dealer's room for a little while before finally parting ways.
FFVII!
A few of us went to McDonald's because I had been starving for the greater part of the day, and
Izaya-chan and I brought our food back to the con and ate in peace. We changed out of cosplay and talked for a while before finally going to sleep.
I left early the next day because I had to get back home, but
Izaya-chan was able to show me some of her WIP projects and I got giddy over them *w* I am hoping to see her again soon! I had a great weekend and despite how little time we actually spent cosplaying, I enjoyed the calm but fun weekend ;3
My next con will be Animefest!!!
Spring break is coming up for me though, so hopefully I will get a lot of cosplay work done, because I have several plans for A-kon this year and I want get a jump-start XD
